LEARNINGS TO SHARE…

I hope you all have had a great day and that you are finding your connection to the Lord to be gaining focus.  For today’s post I wanted to share a thought with you that was sent to me by a lady in our church.  She has always encouraged my walk with the Lord with her faithful prayers and spiritual focus.  She sent this to me via email the other day and I wanted to share the thoughts with you.  I think you will agree they are pertinent for this time.

She writes…,
Once again, the devotional from “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young is a timely message for us, the Crossroads family, as we begin our Daniel Fast in search of God’s leading and blessing this year. Of course, His Word is ALWAYS timely. But what a reminder to watch for and prepare for His work among us:
“January 11
Trust me by relinquishing control into My hands. Let go, and recognize that I am God. This is My world: I made it and I control it. Yours is a responsive part in the litany of Love. I search among My children for receptivity to Me. Guard well this gift that I have planted in your heart. Nurture it with the Light of My Presence.
When you bring Me prayer requests, lay out your concerns before Me. Speak to Me candidly; pour out your heart. Then thank Me for the answers that I have set into motion long before you can discern results. When your requests come to mind again, continue to thank Me for the answers that are on the way. If you keep stating your concerns to Me, you will live in a state of tension. When you thank Me for how I am answering your prayers, your mind-set becomes much more positive. Thankful prayers keep your focus on My Presence and My promises. – Psalm 46:10 (AMP)

Colossians 4:2 –  Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. -NIV

2 Peter 1:3-4 – His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.  Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. -NIV

His plan is already in motion for our church and our lives. We pray…..we thank….and we watch for His answers to unfold…(far more than we can hope for or even imagine!)
